Here’s A Review Of What We Have Learned So Far Watching The New Web IT Video Series “How To Make Your Webit Work”
Webit Review,
Greetings, we started off the series with a more advanced lesson on how to add a Favicon to your website or blog that will help brand your site. We also learned why you would want a favicon and where it would show up.
Then,
In the first video of the series we learned how to join the live RSS Feed and also discovered where to find the feed on our computer after we saved it.
Secondly, we learned how to choose a search engine friendly targeted domain name. We looked for popular search phrases on Wordtracker that indicated that people were highly motivated or looking to buy what they were searching for.
The third Webit video took us to GoDaddy to purchase the domain name.
In the forth we went to Hostgator and signed up for a web hosting account.
And finally, the fifth lesson showed us how to point the DNS Nameservers, which Hostgator emailed you, from GoDaddy to Hostgator.
We then sat back and waited 24 hrs and Viola. Good Job!
So now the fun really begins as we start phase two of “How to Make Your Webit Work” and enter the world of web site creation and development.
In the next few lessons we will set up a site, install a professional theme and add some really cool features.
Happy Web-IT,
Tom Jones![]()
